First run of the day took place on the sultan shuttle where the driver (and I have to say a rather good and gutsy driver despite my impending criticism) took a good spin-out into oncoming traffic while the hoards of ill equipped SUVs and even more ill equipped 'four-wheel-drives' were getting dodged by AWD Subaru WRX STIs. Mayhem. Bus driver slapped some chains on one mile short of the pass all the while ignoring a Highway Patrol Trooper trying to give him a ticket (presumably for not chaining up earlier). That adventure ended with the driver spearheading a pile of unplowed snow in the parking lot and lettings us out to scramble to late-opening lifts and lift-line brawls at Stevens. There was a snaking line at least a 100 yards long waiting for Kehr's chair.
It dumped all day. My K2 Pontoons weren't nearly fat enough. Best runs of the day were in the thick trees around Wild Katz.
Set off one slide somewhere in a rock chute somewhere between the Parachutes off Hogsback. 200 feet soft snow (no slab) sluff.
