We arrived at about 3 pm, well ahead of the forecasted storm. The lots by Brooks were still almost full. Snowfall started soon and was filling in the runs and soft ruts from the previous day. Very nice skiing on blown sugary snow and a bit of graupel until after 9 pm. The drive to the Cascadia Inn was very slow.
On Pres. Day we arrived before 9 to lots and lots of VERY heavy fresh and some pretty big crowds. Both 7th and then Tye Mill opened a bit late. Heavy precip, but the temp. never dropped as low as was forecast and the sliding was pretty slow. The trip down was a crawl until people pulled out to remove chains.
