...elizabeth creek drainage was very nice, needed to be a tad clever with the exit due to racing (which closed early due to multiple injuries)...bpits at 3 pm was also very nice...all trees/creekbeds skied smooth - pretty much go where you want....the pineapple is really getting cranked up now and sunday will be very good...

Skies were not blue but the cash registers were ringing up the green with TONs of lodge skiers. Other than the cluster f%^$@# at Rex mountain ops seemed smooth. The nice lady liftie at chair 3 was most entertaining with her broom. Wind served freshies all day, some aspects loaded quite heavily. DDK was right on the money for GV, although I thought hamsters weren't allowed. Employee Housing was the best kept secret of the day, no snowboard trenches, no heel side berms, just a lot of creamy fluff. Bottom above Kircher's Garden could use a brush hog and the track out needed a few bridges. Wind drifts on the Road to Right Angle were downright pleasant. This week is setting up to be a NW PowFest, enough new each night to keep our friends in red busy in the am with predictable staggered openings. Lack of skier compaction/consolidation on Chair 6 and more importantly South back will mean more control work. All in all a very nice day. The Paleo organic apple, pepper jack cheese and Starbux coffee in the base camp moho made for a fine lunch, although not much conversation. Then again I didn't spend $15 for a mystery meat burger and fries.

Glad everybody found fine turns but remember...........
Loose lips load lifts.
IMO the forecast for the coming week should read like this:
EXTREME WINDS WITH COLD TEMPS AND DANGEROUS WINDCHILLS. HEAVY PRECIPITATION WITH WHITEOUT CONDITIONS AT TIMES. EXTREME DRIVING CONDITIONS WITH NUMEROUS DOWNED TREES AND ELK LIKELY. CLEARING AND CALM CONDITIONS BY THE WEEKEND. SKI AT YOUR OWN RISK. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!
But i'm a glutton for punishment.

That was a very accurate forecast for 2/17 ...EXTREME WINDS WITH COLD TEMPS AND DANGEROUS WINDCHILLS.
