Last night's convergence zone left 4-6" of fluffy goodness from top-to-bottom in the favored valley. A pre-dawn departure via slick city streets put us into pole position for first chair and Armstrong whisked us away from the freezing drizzle down low through the ice fog to the padded seats above. Fog layer clung to the Fan and Upper Debbie's for the first hour, riming over anything that passed through it and making for negative visibility. Finally the mercury reached a sufficient height to mitigate the freezing fog and drizzle and several excellent top-to-bottoms were had out the upper gate. Snow was knee-deep between the knolls and sufficiently cushy for flying over the pillows through the trees down to the valley floor. No high T meant the two plankers had to hoof it to knoll 1, making for a nice change of pace and keeping mixed-mode crews together. The crowd made an attempt to form around 10:15, but dissipated within the hour, returning the mountain to a country club level of visitation until our legs screamed "no more" and we departed at the tail end of the lunching hour.



P.S. - Spotted FreeBird (Carl) getting rad in the back bowls today. As he can confirm, it was going off.

i actually like when the mixed mode crews can join in travel.

Uhm...Must have been an impersonator or you have excellent vision as I was skiing with him all day at Crystal!
