1/28/2014 Silver Fir was created by Snoqualmonix
After nearly two weeks of freezing fog, a nice coating of verglas mixed it up today for team SnoValley who has now had a representative ("Put an Ass(hole) on the Pass!") on the pass since opening day, and a stellar pre-season dating back to late October.  The turns & groomers, as they've been of late, were fast.

Yes, this is what it looks like on jacket and lower legs.

Enjoyed quiet tea with friends in Silver Fir Outpost for possibly one of the last times before the neighborhood rent goes up.

Sort of a last minute Hail Mary here, but has anyone been up to Snoq. Pass today that can report on the conditions. WSDOT says mixed rain\snow, but it sure looks cold.

Inclined to risk it since I am fairly desparate.

It was worth the risk. West slid great last night with about a foot of new and easily 4" since the cats ran in the afternoon, and because it was too heavy to turn, there was plenty of pow to farm until close. The precip backed-off between about 7-9pm but came back wetter than whiter about a half hour before the closing bell, which sent us scurrying to the bar for some pitchers, pizza and pool.

Thanks! I did indeed head up and could report the same for West. Praised my fat and rockered skis. I think of West as kind of like a fine stinky cheese - once you get past the initial hesitation....all good.
