Sunny all day and no wind but it was slow to warm up. Good runs on the front side late in the day, at least down to the road. Below that the options are limited and everyone is using the same lines. It can be navigated but not as much fun as when you can just let 'em rip.
Early crowd had lines at Rex and GV but they disappeared sometime mid-day. Not great skiing today but my favorite is still PB (sorry mid-week retirees!). The BB super secret line is a modified center chute. Start right from the top, no walking, only a handful of rocks. Take 2 quick turns on the spine left of the chute, slide left, take 1 or 3 turns, traverse back to center chute and go for it. There is a little choke point but it goes pretty easy. Then just enjoy the ride. An extra today, Little Portillo was groomed, hard and fast! I had to laugh on an early Iceburg run. Pretty nice slushy bumps but packed with more people than I have ever seen on that run, or any run for that matter.
All in all a decent day for this season and it beat going to the gym and riding a stationary bike.
Outlook is for light precipitation starting Tuesday but (way) too warm, then cooler later in the week.
