Another big powder day – for an ant! Light dusting actually felt nice up in the Valley. Day started pretty grey and foggy in places, we spent the early morning skiing Lucky Shot – nicely groomed. As the morning progressed the fog and clouds started breaking up and what we skied got nicer. Places we went in the Valley skied very nicely – I hadn’t been below the main bowl since last week. Sun warmed and softened some places – don’t know about IceFerkBerg, just never made it there, but it probably did get soft, I do know it was not groomed. No real lift lines, the Wednesday bus crowd moved in orderly packs around the mountain. Groomers on FQex looked nice and the one I did was soft and smooth. Temps felt cold to me today – maybe getting sick again – but the telemetry showed high humidity and a light breeze was blowing up valley. HC was closed so the limited operations could run Northway – no clue how great it was.
Other – Soup at CB lodge was California Medley (actually had a bowl and it was pretty good). Base cafeteria closed at 11am due to lack of participation again today. Pay lot was big (and not very full), bus lot was even bigger and actually had 10 buses. Rest of A lot did not get full. Noticed the new camera at the base of REX recently and finally saw the picture on the Crystal web site…another cam to book mark, should be nice if they change what it is looking at.
