Did kind of an afternoon early evening thing, to hit the hopefully warmer parts of day on backside and to see the sunset et al. The transition from sunny day to rosy sunset to clear evening was very nice tonight. Jupiter (the planet not the lift) is honking bright in the East!
Backside was decent, best up high, not as good down low. Polaris might have been the best run for softening, or Aq face. Andromeda through Pegasus also good, especially spines and gullies between (Androgysus?). South Park glades not good at all, too far down there and not warmed by sun or inversion. Only top 500' of Southern Cross was it worthwhile to get off groomers or main track, and closer you got to 4500 the more you had to consider where the sun had hit and avoid places it hadn't.
Frontside I did a few groomers which were OK. Not too icy on typical Tye and Sky and Hogs runs. Coverage is alright, way better than the sadness at Snoqualmie.
For whatever reason Jupiter chair was running at like 20% speed on last ride up. Anything BUT high speed. Maybe they lost line power back there and that is best that chairs diesel can do?

Valiant lift trip---good view in the photo. Let's hope the base stays strong....
