White Pass - 1/12

For those who braved the gnar, beautiful powder stashes outside of the groomers. That's why we love the PNW. We woke up late, had coffee and booged up for the afternoon session. It was blowing sideways and just got worse weather wise. The stashes, when you could find them and see them were dreamy. IT got a little heavy and rainy towards the end of the day. The groomers were beat up and with low visibility made for a bumpy ride.

Crowds really weren't too bad at all so very little lift wait time. The only bummer was that the Basin and Coulier were closed by the time we got there.

Got to the hill after 10am. Hwy 12 and parking were not a big deal (unlike Crystal and Stevens, it sounds like). Longish line on our first run, but went quickly. No lines to speak of after that all day. Faceshots all day. Found some armpit deep stashes. Basin and Couloir skied well, but it was even more savagely windy over there. My best turns were on front side (but I like em steep). Never saw any rain, unlike Crystal, sounds like.
