Steven 1/4 Night Skiing was created by Quick foot
Huge line of traffic coming down as I went up. A guy on the lift said that he arrived at noon and drove around the lots for two hours before getting a parking space.  Another guy arrived at 2:00 and drove around for an hour.  Me, I got there at 5:00 and parked in the front row.  Weather was beautiful , stars, crescent moon, not much wind. The skiing was just ok.  The hill had been pounded by the big crowd.  All the groomed had lots of scraped down to the hard ice layer, you had to aim for the piles.  The  usual off piste had bumps with icy troughs and I had to look around to find anything to keep me interested.  Moderate lift line on Hogs and small line on Skyline for the first hour or so.  Will I do it again if the conditions don't change?  Well --  never say never.  Night skiing is better than no skiing.

I did a lot of driving and bought a lot of lift tickets back east to ski conditions like that for sure. "Good practice" as a friend puts it. I remember when we did a hut trip with Canadians and we scrambled a little peak that had some hard snow - it was super easy for us but the Canadians were flummoxed. Tough life, only skiing powder!
