Very good report QF, don’t think I can add much. Day started out looking iffy with a big cloud band blowing through that actually dropped a few drops, but it all cleared off pretty quickly. That didn’t stop the sunny exposure softening, I’ll add IceFerkBerg run to the list of nice and soft, even Number 1 liked it. Saw Santa ski passed the base of REX in the early AM, after his hard night of work. Watched a lot of folks skiing nice lines on Hamburger while I was being nice and checking out the soup of the day at CB Lodge. PB was still skiable, but definitely not as nice as yesterday. Other nice skiing north facing slopes – WestFace and SnortElk Bowl (skier left in the area they groom, some years). Had a lot of fun on Sunnyside during the afternoon – got a big thanks for suggesting it to a couple of off duty patrollers. Didn’t want to quit but late afternoon social activities made us leave.
Other – Soup at CB lodge was Ched Broc again (kinda salty, but the bread that comes with it is very nice, way better than a few crackers). No real lift lines today and Crystal turned off the gates on REX – nice. C lot was pretty full. Drive down was kinda slow with lots of tourists on the road. Another great sad sunny spring day in December. Good Hamster conditions and as QF noted the grooming of Lucky made the early runs there more pleasant than they would have been.
