Got there about 5:00. The sleet turned to all snow about Old Faithful. Had a choice of premo spots in the stairway lot. Expected hard pack and some rocks, but was pleasantly surprised. It was snowing lightly all night with the wind being a factor only on Skyline from Windy Knoll to the top. Stayed off the groomers as much as possible, and it was possible about 50% of the time. Tye had an ungroomer that was fun once I figured out a route around the ice. Hogs, same deal. Best off piste was on skyline. It never got warm enough to melt on my cloths. snow on the road about half way to Tunnel Creek on the way down. No lines at all, in fact, on Chief it was like my own private ski hill. Skied right to the car when I left. Real glad my bro talked me out of Crystal. Well worth it. Remember, nite skiing is better than no skiing.
