Aaahhh, Pretty perfect kinda no new snow day…Felt pretty lazy and almost didn’t go, but temps looked good the cam at the top was pretty, so dragged myself out of the house and arrived really really late into the front row of the A lot at 9:15? Lots of other cars around but not very smart parking. Today was lots of very nice warm sun, bigger views everywhere, nobody around at “my” private ski area, still perfect north facing slopes – PB (my fav line) still very very nice and easy, GV Bowl (closer and faster to get to) great and the extra bonus of soft spring skiing bump tops (less rocks on top of the bumps) down IceFerkBerg. Fun warm day. Watched the clouds rolling in from the Northwest, was still sunny at 2pm when I left. Have to say that GV is the best rock free zone at this time with the best quality snow overall – though I did one run down Grubstake (probably to late in the day) and it was not the best run of the day.
Other – Hoped for some more Chicken Noodle at the base, but sadly it was Minestrone. Skied down Chair 4 line for the first time in a while when I was leaving – actually pretty good, even the smooth area at the base in the Disco area. Pay lot very small and the rest of the A lot maybe? 2/3 full? Conditions still good for hard pack bump skiers (Rocky Mountain quality on the shady slopes), but some new snow would be nice – everybody has got to think harder about some new!
