Figuring the resort would be played out by now, I skinned a quick lap across the highway in the morning but ended-up riding back down next to the up track as none of the south-facing lines down to the old highway had enough coverage for my taste. Defrosted my hair in the car over an earlier-than-usual lunch and then headed across the street to meet up with some friends for some afternoon laps. As expected, conditions both on and off the groomers were firm, so we took to cowboy ridge, sandwiching two laps down the front around an adventure in hollywod bowl. With the light fading, we opted to explore the options in grace lakes and found excellent turns into the upper basin but the low coverage and lack of cat track made for a difficult exit. Still, it was so good up top we talked ourselves into a second lap which put us back at the cars after the suns last rays faded from the mountaintops.
Traffic on the way home was atrocious, it took over 2 hours to get back to the city with only a brief stop for gas. Can't wait for Old Man Winter to deliver in the closer and lower areas...
