Another nice sunny day on the hamster treadmill for me, very light crowd, warmest day yet this season, more rocks to dodge, spring snow showing up on the sunniest slopes, new favorite bump lines getting into great shape (for me), happy people on the slopes, bigger clearer views in all directions, pretty much same old, same old kinda never ending repeating conditions – but at least there is snow on the slopes and there is a lift that makes the up hill part of every run easier. I’m thinking about avoiding the expected weekend crowd, though the warm temps would make it Hawaii fun.
Other – the base lodge open or closed pattern is still pretty random (closed today, so no soup report), parking lot was maybe 2/3’s full (maybe), kinda windy at the base and on the drive down, but no winds all day on the upper mountain. So….as usual I had a fun day sliding on the snow – now maybe a few days off to do some chores – maybe! Based on not seeing some folks this might be your only report today, so take it with a grain (or brick) of salt. (50 years ago today I was very sad)
