The first three runs in GV were spectacular with boot top fresh, no rocks and sunshine. In and out of the clouds. Manly on sunny side. Able to ski to a few hundred yards from the base tho sketchy. The keg at the top was the center of attraction. Good vibes! Thnx Crystal and thanks to the Tea Party for shutting the Park so I ended up at the Mountain.!!!

Had already planned to go up to Crystal to check what was happening today and visit with Mr Ferk, heard yesterday about the 75 limit so did not bother taking my skis - should have, everybody kept asking me..."where are your skis?", only 35 or so for the 10am start. Got into an empty bucket at 10:10, up into the sun to see very pretty turns being made in the Valley, the picture above is very much what it was like, lots of very happy people. Channel 7 was shooting video, should be on the news tonight, Channel 5 was at the bottom when I was leaving.
Other - heard gates will be installed on REX and HC like on CHex in the next month, cover on bottom of Northway is up, extra space for the buckets at the bottom will be increased with cover, Verizon is beefing up the cell tower at the top for increased coverage everywhere, the new fire pit at the base is under construction and should be nice. Lots of work going on for hopefully an early season start.

I drove to my cabin in GW at 1:00 am, got up at 5:30 am and drove to base with the intent on hiking as I didn't get within the lucky 75.
Got out of car at about 6:30 ish and looked up and couldn't convince myself, based on what I was seeing that it was going to be worth the hike.
So I drove all the way back to Seattle and went to work instead. :'(
I WAS WEAK..... MY FAITH FALTERED, DAMN!!! :-[
Good for those that got 'sum!
