Hey how was the skiing,  as in how much is open/skiable? Heading down to pdx for a wedding and thinking about throwing the ski's in to kill some time and not sure if its worth it or not.

Hello Jonathan, if you're asking about the public lanes - the snow is definitely much less than last year. As is pretty standard with Mt. Hood, the only thing that is open until about noon when the race camps pull their gates is the public lane which is about three groomer widths wide at most. Snow ends well before the parking lot on the way down so need to download at the bottom of Palmer. Basically, can do laps down the Palmer in an area about three groomer widths wide until race camps adjourn.
