June 28-30 Ligety/Mahre Brothers GS Camp @Hood

Spent three days at a GS camp with three Olympic ski racers at Mt. Hood. Was perfect timing to get away from the 90+ degree heat down in the lowlands. Lots of sun, clear skies, and running a lot of gates. Things were pretty sloppy in the public lanes even first thing in the morning (0700), and even the salted racing lanes got rutted out fast and needed to be reset multiple times during the day. From the top of Palmer, the peak looked pretty tempting! Headed back down for a PSIA GS camp next weekend, conditions looking a lot better.
