Crystal - 05/11

Really nice day, thanks to Mrs Ferk and JD for a great day of skiing the soft spring muck. A little greyer and cloudier early than expected, but big warm, everything soft from the start, big sun happened by 10:30 and the heat-oh-meter went through the roof. Skied the Pits to IceFerkberg (no Doors), but most everything was smooth soft mucky GS fast with nice bumps to pound in places. Pretty much a Hamster type of day. No real lift lines, but a fair happy crowd of skin and weird outfits.

Other – No idea about any soup (Crystal isn’t trying to hard on feeding the snow sliders and tourist). A lot looked like it was full when we finally left at 3:15. Short bucket line early. Still managed to ski to the base when we quit but its going fast down low. REX still has lots of great skiing left, but maybe not much time based on management. Best runs – slots in Bearpits, Showtime skier left slot, Sunnyside, GullyGully, IceFerkberg, Valley bowl, Grubstake and probably other places also that we might have missed.

met some real friendly folks from a lil ski hill a bit north as the crow flies. all of them skied wonderfully and mentioned a swell party last sunday they were still recovering from!
