LOL on the title, just kidding. Just a conditions report mainly.
Headed up at 11: 45 AM to what seemed to be clearing skies. Got to Pass at 1215 and poked around over to Alpental as my goal leaving the house was Pineapple. Alas, when I got to to P4 (past the "no vehicles beyond this point" sign.......why????) the skiing did not look that great and no signs of others. That combined with the scary avy conditions two weeks ago and the large slab on Chair last week had me spooked and being solo with just my dog always means being conservative.
So headed over to Acres thinking the steeper might be better but it did not look as good as of all things Snoqualmie. Seriously. Just from a pure visual perspective that looked the best other then the higher slopes I could see (West Kendall for example).
So........me and the dog got out and skied a quick lap. Must be 12:35 or so by now and it really started to snow. You could see it moving up the Pass. Kept up the entire time we were there.
About 4 inches at bottom with about 12 at top of Quad. Wet, yet it skied nice. No vis at all, only shadows were the skin track and my dogs trail. But fun.
"Snowed" all the way down the highway to Exit 42 and looks like no letting up per the WSDOT cam as I finish this post.
