Crystal 4/16

Simply one of my best days of the year, anywhere. Temps were in the 20's with a light snow till 2 when it brightened but allowed the foot of cold pow to not get lumpy. Rode some great lines on Rex and into the pits and the yoyo'd 6 all day with 8 runs into A basin and the king. Finished an amazing run into Silver thru the trees with lots of face shots. HArd to believe the date. If only it would last! Very few skiers even by Tues standards. Minestrone for ddk's series.

WHAT?? No DDK report?
Dan I would have made you proud and did a couple on your hamster track today (including k2 face trees) since everyone was nice enough to leave to other parts in search of powder and leave me fresh stuff on the wheel. Soup was White chili when I went in to Campbell at 2:30 for a drink of H20, but got lured into the salty goodness of Beef Udon instead and back out for one last one out South @3.
Heard most all day from all the riders on the gondi...No one is where I'm skiing and I'm getting fresh tracks all day...Ditto That too!
Planned to leave when the snow turned to crap...was thinking 10:30am but left at 4pm.

That was some of the best tasting soup I've had in a while.

All I can say is thank you April through my s**t eating grin.

One of the best boot-top over cut pow days of the year. In freaking April. Thick fog on half the mountain, clear under overcast on the rest, move it around all day. We followed the clear part of that equation and never had a bad line. Employee Housing to Campbell Basin – Awesome skiing. Thick trees, open bowls, no lines… Wow!. A day-by-day thing as a sudden sun break at 1:15 instantly heavy-upped the snow, which may not be nice for tomorrow. North facers ruled at 2:00. The fun police woulda had a heyday.

Channeling the Whistler bound and internet challenged ddk
We arrived in double WRX sideways slides in the upper lot at 8:30 and loaded the line-free Gondy at 8:55. Searched for Chicken Noodle and Hamsters all day, but all we found was boot-top pow. Ouch. X-Rays musta been intense as the afternoon went soft. Love my (skis of choice).
