Jill and I drove our Roadtrek van up to Crystal to make some runs and to try our generator at 4000’. We parked in the RV lot near the building site. The walk up the hill was OK, and we were able to ski down to our vehicle. The groomed slopes up high were firm and the wind was getting gusty. The trails off the Forest Queen lift were fun and not as windy. The groomers were really nice on the lower slopes. There was a bit of sun until we left at noon, just as it started to snow. We found the generator needed a bit of adjusting – it ran pretty rough under load. When we’re down south, we’ll be parking at 6500 to 7000’ in OR and CA, so we need to have it fixed before we head south again. Thursday really looks good.
