Convergence snows brought a much needed 16 inches at pass level in the past 24hr, 12 of which blew-in overnight. The crowd showed-up early ready to play, but remained manageable throughout the day. First turns down 7th Heaven rewarded us with bountiful faceshots and prolonged visits to the whiteroom with over waist deep, rightside-up, blower on top conditions. The wind howled all day, bringing the chairs to the occasional crawl and scouring much of the west-facing frontside terrain along the ridges while loading-up the leeward east aspects.

In addition to lots of inbounds hamstering in the morning, we did 3 laps along the ridge separating Polaris & Highlands bowls down the backside and were rewarded each time with superb turns and observed no signs of instability - though we kept it to tree-covered areas just in case and in steep sections sluff management was necessary. Lots of folks hiking the ridges, some questionably equipped and a few exercising poor judgement. Hit the lower 2/3rds of tye stick at the end of the day - didn't cross a track until smashing into the traverse set by all the lazy weekend warriors. FWIW, Chief trees were bomber up until closing bell.

NOAA predicted 3 - 5", and we got 15". Bottom of Southern Cross two feet. Gotta love that convergence zone!
