March 17, 2013 Summit East

Jill and two of our grandsons(8 and 11years) enjoyed the 4" overnight and 4" for the 3 hours we were there. We got there for the opening and it was not busy.  During the 3 hours, we skied and snowboard the 8". At noon we decided to leave.  I felt the snow near the base lift getting a bit warm around noon. Great day. 

Y'now, with so few folks up there we probably see each other often, Zap.
Hyak was really fun this morning with 4 inches of new to take the curse off the rain soaked stuff from yesterday. We just missed the morning line up for firsties, but were right behind and so were able to enjoy lots of fresh turns all morning long. Open hills were zoomed, the face was a real pleasure, and tree routes were great too. Never had to wait longer than a chair or two for a lift. Parking lot was full when we split at 1230. Starting to see a couple of the traditional thin spots showing some dirt, but all are easily avoided. TomK, and Chad & Karrie

TomK, It was a great day with the short guys.  I took them down Hyak Face and they like it.  We did Hyak Face again and they were moving faster then us. Short skier and snowboarder.
