Gotta say pretty fair day all in all – sorry for the long winded report – the basics – I had fun, it was a great day and CD put up with me. I got to park fairly far up in the A lot since the pay lot was extra small at 8:35. Vis conditions pretty nice early, quick change and jump into an almost empty bucket (CD along for the ride). Started with easy fast surprisingly good groomers on Lucky and IceFerkBerk. Moments of good vis pushed us into GV bowl (not good center early, better every run further skier right till some unknown time when the X-Rays from the filtered sun breaks soften it to very okay nice – for me anyway). Big nasty today was a free ride comp in PB – dang, looked pretty good on the conditions, especially when the sun was shining on it. So lots of questions, lots of complaining (what me complain?) to various folks about why HC was on hold for a comp that’s only using half the world on the Queen – bonus finally around 10:30 – “yes Dan we opened it just for you” – Yee Haa – skier right of chair 6 line, multiple Rabbit Ear runs, very sweet and soft enough to make us happy. I took a really really long break for CHICKEN NOODLE SPECIAL SOUP around 11:30 – Thankyou it was good. But when I came out the grey world had closed in, so got lucky and did Frisco and old Ch5 line – always fun and then back to Hamster runs on REX. Was getting greyer and somewhat wetter (light precip stuff – not really all that bad) by 1:30. Had chores to do so I ended up going out Kellys Gap and Lower E with Mr Ferk – sweet – do I have to leave – dang it, Yes! Oh well, seemed to be more precip when I drove away, but the vis was great on Exterminator top to bottom and the bottom was pretty soft smooth and run. Great spring day.
Other – As mentioned CB lodge made me Chick Noodle soup (Yee Haa), everything else pretty normal there. A parking lot got full today and I seem to recollect cars parked further down in other lots – fuzzy brain when I drove away (wasn’t ready to leave). Lots of pounding rain down in Greenwater on 410 with sunshine – very pretty. Another great marketing kind of day – for me! Thanks CD early and Mr Ferk late for some great runs.
