Crystal - 03/13/13

Other than they announced two days ago that Six, Northway, and the Jib Park would be closed wednesday and thursday.

Not that random closures or openings are against Crystal's rules either. And don't get me started on the light boards.....

Yadda Yadda...I already pointed out my lack of paying attention to the Crystal web site for maybe possible lifts not running....but since for most folks the season is over and the planned rain event at Crystal never actually happened the last few days whick kept the crowd down - kinda like a few "planned" wind events this winter that did not happen - but the real info is the very limited operations after the season closes....no weekday skiing locally after the 19th of April (at least at Crystal). Note also, many folks thought HC would be closed last Monday - twasn't.

I have it on good authority that some locals are strongly lobbying Mr. Kircher that he should at least keep the mountain open on Friday's as well as the weekend after April 19th.

Many of the "mid-weekers" are aghast at the thought of sullying themselves by skiing with the "weekenders" and standing in lines with the proletariat.

Based upon what I've seen, Friday's are the new Saturday and I think it's an excellent idea.
Imagine the angst if Friday was a sunny spring day and the weekend cloudy or wet as often happens in the spring.
