Crystal 03/10

Toured again all day.
Morning I went on a solo mission and skied some nice north west facing aprons.
Afternoon I went with a buddy and found excellent pow in open areas, treeded areas had some tree drip crust.
I was shocked, shocked I tell you as to how good it was.
Basically skied pow all day and a lot of it was untracked.

Pay lot was so godamn huge ( and empty)that I had to park in C lot even at 8:15 am!!!!
I was hoping everybody would sleep in and forget to change their clocks but I guess all their iphones did it automatically for them.
Snowing lightly in the pm and  got foggy but viz was OK in the BC.
Finished with a T2B and I thought even the resort was skiing OK, not great but OK.

Damn! I should have skied on Sunday too. I did get out for a tour by Crystal Lakes on Saturday but not soon enough to catch up with you.
I found great snow on the north side of Chinook and off the ridge to the south of Chinook. While I was out there, someone ( I didn't see them) skied down to the lake in alpine gear, did some side stepping about and then booted back up. Were they looking for another lift?

We skinned out from Crystal lakes over to Morse Creek. Saw those tracks out by Sourdough and they sure looked nice.

I didn't ,but I saw a large group heading up at about 3.45....maybe 20 of them in a conga line.
