Hyak was icky today. Smarter people stayed away. Started out at 34 degrees with mixed rain/snow showers at 0900 and an empty lift line. Even at 1030 there was no line up at either the front or backside chairs, and you could see the “snowline” level where the snowflakes melted in the air. Snow on the ground was kinda hard and chunky on the flatter runs with the steeper faces having the only decent carvability. Precip was starting to come down even harder and sticking to the trees in Hidden Valley, so we bagged it at noonish. Pretty firm rumor is that March 24 will be the last day of lift ops in H-land. Tom(not smart)K & Kerry(smartest cause she quit first), and Karrie(pretty smart for quitting next).

I was trying to convince Jill to go to Hyak but we slept in and didn't change our clocks. Thanks for the update.
