So today absolutely Su…well maybe not totally. Pulled into the A lot very late – way to far back with way to much empty space for the pay lot, but whats new about that – not many folks around, quick change and into an empty bucket by 9am, high overcast blowing through, blue off to the south, southeast winds (dang, which blew across the top of the ridges at a pretty good clip), perfect early morning groomers – Lucky and IceFerkberg – fun and fast, some runs to the base with LowerFerkBull actually one of the better groomed runs (all day, even my last run at 3pm). Did an early lunch at CB lodge and then back to REX, just in time to bump into CD again – word was Memorial was worth another repeat for him – so the next I don’t know how many times we skied mid skier way left in the M-World area, nice and smooth, soft from the sun, no winds in that area so it was definitely worth a lot of repeats. CD reached the magic 50k day around 2pm and decided that was big enough (I had to ski another hour to reach that number what with the very long lunch). Skied a few runs in Lucky Trees – where it was smooth it was nice, mostly a fast screamer groomer day, but I spent the last hour or so doing center line in GV bowl, which was smooth enough and with a little more traffic would be pretty nice…but since the crowd was so light. Big sun all day, fairly big ridge top winds (dang SE wind). Sorry Mr Scotsman – I did have a fun day and it did not totally su..ck, sadly not much soft muck on the front side of REX today, just a little to much wind.
Other – soup was Clam Chow and gotta say it was very clammy and good. Pay lot was totally bogus big and empty, rest of A lot was full with over flow close to C lot.
