Got back after a week of tremendous skiing at the best resort I've ever skied. The temperature was 14 to 16 every day and it snowed every other day keeping things fresh and soft. We had taken gear and planned on some back country skiing - but the lift skiing was too good for that. Our inbound hikes were on Flute to sample untracked fluff. At an hour per loop with the Symphony lift to help - this was a bargain. Saturday was very crowded but after that never waited more than 10 minutes - usually less. Our only other hiking was getting up Spanky's Ladder to ski Garnet and then Ruby Bowls. We also went "side country" whenever we felt the need for more untracked snow. Photo shows the top portion of Garnet Bowl. Garnet is rated a double black diamond but on soft days it's just easy fun!
