February 28, 2013, Alpental

Fortunately (?!) I drank too much beer last night to drive home, so I stayed at Hyak and woke at 630am to a snowstorm!  What a bonus day, about 100 of us shared untracked lines in the near sidecountry refreshing every lap. I had to give up at 1pm when my knee tired of the deep heavy fresh snow each lap back to the lifts.  Nash gate had not opened when we left and the rain had not begun.

Precip transitioned to rain after 2 pm (at central). Sloppy swish.
Impressive sounding charge (originating from alpy?) blew around 4:30 echoing thru the commonwealth and shook me bones here at my sea shanty docked at West. More of the wet diaper train (credit salal) tomorrow.
