Lordy lordy another bonus day! Kinda expected cloudy cold day of left over packed powder, got big sunny day with left over packed powder and sun baked soft on the south facing slopes of HC and REX. No crowds (just lots of us old folks), no lift lines anywhere, perfect groomers early (only did a little of those). Mostly spent the day doing either side of HC chair line – nice and smooth enough and soft, Powder Bowl, Bearpits, OuterFerks (very very nice), Lucky Shot Trees, a number of different Doors, Showtime, Sunnyside, Memorial, Upper and Lower E, a few runs in the Valley, Snorting Elk, Kellys Gap, and a last run of the day work out down EH at the end of the day (probably nice early, but will not be nice tomorrow and I still don’t like I5 – have I ever mentioned that?). Everything except maybe that last run was nice today. All the full sunny slopes will be pretty entertaining tomorrow – crispy firm something would be my guess. A little cloudy stuff passed through around noon, but it quickly passed and the sun was full on till we left. Gotta say great day, made up for what I had to do yesterday.
Other – Soup was Minestrone, didn’t spend much time in CB lodge it was just too nice outside. Pay lot as usual not full and to big, bus lot way to big also but at least there were 8 of them, some small overflow into C and probably mostly employees in B lot. Coverage on the mountain is pretty nice everywhere right now.
