Nice day, snowing pretty much all day, couple fast early morning groomer runs, very light crowd, vis iffy in places so I spent most of the morning doing my fav lines in the BP’s area (Pits had a couple of non icy lines early and was improving all day with the snow falling – every hour my lines looked untracked). Only got a few PB runs do to vis, but it was very nice during the mid day almost filtered sun break. Throne rope line was very nice for a couple of soft runs. Suffered ( I have to say ) a run out NW – good snow, decent vis, nobody around, but the 11 minute ride was just way to long, so there will be lots of even deeper untracked lines out there tomorrow. Temps felt really cold all day, though the telemetry does not look that bad, but I wore more than normal and had my hood on all day. Checked out my fav run in the Doors – not great but doable, same thing over in Memorial (might be big tomorrow). GV bowl when I could see it was very nice. Finished the day with Kellys Gap and Lower E, both where actually pretty good.
Other – Soup was CCC again, decided to waste a lot of ski time and tried the Kid’s Chili Dog – very good but not very kid sized, might be why I felt a little porky in the afternoon. Pay lot had cars in it, 5 buses, cars widely spaced in B lot and cars in C lot, so it must have been a little busy today. Snowing hard when I left and the telemetry makes it look even better right now.
