The north-facing goodness has tightened to only the most shaded aspects. Anything that got sun is nasty ice. Even Bear Pits is nearing the dangerous, unedgeable icy realm. Powder Bowl was OK but a long cold groomer/chair to get back. Northway again held the goods from Paradise Bowl & Chutes, chutes off NW Peak, and Bruce's Bowl/Nose Trees. An inch of surface hoar sparkled in the morning sun but didn't help cover the ice on the sunny aspects. By 11:00 the sun was gone and the approaching storm clouded the peaks. I'm hoping it comes in sticky to hold to the ice better than my steel edges did today while I was skiing on them and not sticking very well, you know, so that wet snow would be better than dry snow, yeah, that's the ticket.
