Very nice day, fair light early crowd, lots of sun/blue skies/views to everywhere, big blank smooth slate of Powder Bowl called early – got first run just in front on the ski patrol checking conditions – it was great! Smooth fast natural grooming, ouch! Repeat! Ouch! Spent a lot of the rest of the day being somewhat nice and chilling. Late morning a lot of BearPit runs (sweet), Valley Bowl (finally great vis and lots of fun either skier right small bumps and center line nice big bumps). A couple of runs during the day down Kelly’s Gap to Lower E – could have done it more. Short mid day break at CB lodge and then more PB/BP’s and lots of front side from REX chair line to Memorial (all nice deep easy carving left over soft sun heated muck – fun at high speed - did I ever mention that I really like my K2 AfterShocks?). Some almost crowds in places late morning (30 second – almost a life time of waiting). Perfect combo of Spring and Winter on the slopes today.
Other – Soup was Minestrone again (plus stew and chilies). Split a gluten free Hamburger with Spouse #1 – very good (plus the brownie point credits). Pay lot almost filled up – Good job. Actually lots of cars in B and C lots, not as many buses as Crystal seemed to be expecting today – but lots of empty space there. Yee Haa.
