Day started pretty nice all in all. Pulled into the A lot at 8:30, changed and jumped into an empty Bucket at 8:45. Fair early vis, snowing nicely adding a nice layer of new to the first couple of screamer smooth groomers and then to all the repeated Hamster runs out BP’s way. Fog was bad enough to keep me out of PB and other than one nice run into GV bowl – both would be big with good vis based on the places I spent the day. Just cause of some grief I get, headed out NW for a couple of runs, Paradise and Bruce’s both nice, but that chair ride is longer than suffering I-5 (heard late in the day that EH and Niagara’s where skiable and nice (?). The bumps on NW chair line at the bottom are pretty big since the last time I did them. Snow quality with the early morning snow was pretty good, though the mid day fog and warming temps probably will make most of the new a little firmer tomorrow. Good vis early, not so good after around 11am, kept me in BP’s most of the short afternoon. K2 and old Chair 5 line nice again today. Never went up HC do to the fog in PB.
Other stuff – passed through CB lodge – heat, soup was Minestrone, Beef Stew and two kinds of Chili. Nobody there at 11:30, Nobody on the slopes, Nobody on the lifts (road with one person on REX today and actually had a couple of solo Bucket rides. Pay lot way to big as usual, 7 buses, nobody parked in C lot and looked like employee parking in the B lot. Fun day other than no number one Spouse today – probably first Heart day in 20 years that she didn’t ski on Val day. But we’re normally on vaca this week.
