Febuary 12, 2013. Niseko, Grand Hirafu Japan

A quick post of the days activities, we loaded on the buss this morning about 0800, from Supporo, and were on the mountain skiing by 1230.  We arrived to a classic case of you should have been here this morning, with about 8 inches of nice dry powder, that had been mostly skied out.  We bought a points pass that allowed us to ride various lift's for so many points per ride, depending on the lift we used.  That worked out great, and we had a nice afternoon of skiing for a very reasonable price.  The highlight of the day was the near by Volcano Yotei appearing through the mist as we were skiing down for the last run of the day.  They get serious snow here and for right now anyway it's cold enough to make it seriously good.  I am having some trouble getting pictures posted, I'll keep after it, and see if I can't overcome the technical problems.  Suppose to , according to the local Aussi ski bums, to be an, "epic" dump tomorrow, I'll keep you posted.
