Feb 9-10, 2013, Snoqs

Hit Hyak for third chair at 0855 and we scored some pretty nice snow.  Groomers were smooth, freshies was a good 5-6 deep, and nary a bit of glaze was found.  A little foggy at first at the top and in the valley, but things cleared up fast to a generally overcast day with occasional blue patches.  Not too cold,  just enough to keep things slidey.  The only time the lift got busy was at 1030 with the cross country classes heading up, but there were still lots of smiles in line.  Hooked up with a buddy and we decided to make the grand tour via the singles lines at SF, CE, 360, WS, DR.  Got to ride the Easy Rider lift over at West, then trucked on back to H-land for a final out around 1430.  TomK & Kerry

It was pretty good up the valley on the north side of the freeway today. Plenty of leftovers above 4.5k in the famed and now-renamed "back bowls" and intermittent improvements in visibility. Line of the day was a Knoll 2/3 to the magical forest between GB and TC. Bet the "real" BC is still awfully good...

2/10 was a gorgeously sunny morning once we drove past the fogged in West and Central hills this morning. Offpiste snow was packed and tracked from yesterday, but there sure were a lot of fresh cords for the first hour and a half whre the groomers had done a bang up job. Pretty low turnout at Hyak today made for easy uplifts all morning. Gotta love sliding in sunshine! TomK & Kerry, and Karrie.

jack needs to give some grooming lessons to his apprentices at alpental, not for me but do it for the kids man, for the kids.
