Another interesting day, first Saturday for me since December, heard lots of comments about lift lines not being that bad – hhhmmmm – not so today. Got two runs on REX early before the line started growing. So head over to FQex and HC, no problem for at least a couple of roundtrips (BTW – PB was great, but firmer early and got better and better and better), only problem was all of a sudden the 10:30 bulge showed up and they just would not go away today - weather was just to nice. I’ve seen worse, but not this season. Oh well, TB and I spent a lot of mid day cycling Hamburger – better every time, but some of the traverse was getting beat up, lots of people heading over there (and others heading south – saw some tracks on the King, only one had about 5 nice turns, might have been good on the south smooth side). REX line started getting reasonable after 1pm. Green Valley bowl is finally getting skied out enough to make it fun, IceFerkBerg/Plunge where late in the warm sun. First nice day where the lift lines slowed down the pace – even had to wait on HC. Nice day, bumps are growing, and the rocks in places on HC.
Other – Soups, Tomato and Clam Chow (not left over), Gluten free buns and pasta now available for that crowd. Pay lot really big (and as usual), lots of buses, cars parked along the road between C and D, cars parked in the F LOT!!! Ouch! Did I forget to mention a full B lot? Biggest crowd I’ve been around in a while. Walk from my truck to the lifts this morning – felt like at least a ½ mile, but probably not. But still a very nice day.
