What a happy bunch of skiers there was at Alta today,and why not.Snow quality was....totally awesome top to bottom 4f at the top so the snow was great all day, tons of fresh lines even though hardly any of the gates opened ...stability seemed great.......tomorrow the touring starts.....life is good in Utah

Toured Grizzly Gulch today - lots of wind affected upside down snow. Snowpack is a total layer cake. Avoided North facing slopes as I was solo and leery of windslab. South aspects had very nice wind buff with no stability issues. Be careful out there tomorrow - I'm likely heading to WY to begin 10 days of skiing the Tetons!
