BIG DAY! Mr Eskinmo! Maybe not from the very first lift ride – only twice as much as advertised on the early morning ski report, dang. But no crowds, no lift lines, everything open from very early spread what pow hounds showed up all over the BIG mountain. Lots of grey foggy conditions plus light early snow kept me in Lucky Trees, Bearpits and late morning into the Doors. Had a really BIG Chicken Noodle soup bowl for lunch! Ouch good. Finally headed up HC, did a number of runs out towards the Throne and one very very nice deep powder run with Mr. Ferk just passed the rope line. Dropped PB – very nice even with limited vis. And then back to REX for more hamster runs with one run down into the Valley. Spent the afternoon skiing all the lines I’d skied in the morning – and couldn’t tell that I had, it was dumping hard from 11am on till they closed the lifts on me at 3:30. It was getting deeper and deeper and it was hard trying to decide what to do and even harder quitting. Finished the day with a BIG run down Upper and Lower Exterminator – pretty nice and deep. Everything is getting pretty BIG and nice. Winds didn’t impact HC or REX – actually couldn’t tell it was winds except at the very top. I’d hazard to guess that tomorrow might be another BIG day if the winds hold off.
Other – Pay lot was massive, as big as a weekend day…and pretty much empty – I asked the pay lot guy to make it even bigger tomorrow (he called in the request).
