They say not exactly roughing it at Beaver Creek and they mean it. A wrong turn today dumped DW and I part way down the blvd, no problem, Dial a Ride on speed dial brought us the shuttle back up to the base escalators ! Three escalators from the village entrance to the lifts. 26 hosts on duty each day. Chefs in hats with free warm cookies, some-mores on the fire in front of the slopeside Hyatt. They're measuring new snow in inches for the month, not feet but oh is the sky blue ! Took a crack at the mens FIS downhill today from the top then the women's, ropes and crampons were in order, no worries about embarassing myself as there was no one to watch. Off piste is really sketchy to say the least. Customer service is over the top, from FREE STARBUCKS REFILLS at lunch to the ski valet whom brings out your boots and skis in the morning so one doesn't risk a nasty fall walking about the lobby. Four soups today including bison chili and lentil with jalapeno cornbread, 5 pizzas including veggie and santa fe chicken. One mare day and it's back to Crystal and 99%rs who don't laugh at my frayed skins and duct taped pants.

Very nice funny report...and pretty much what I remember about The Bev.
