Let the single plank run for a baker's dozen of laps underneath the lights at Summit West this evening. Not too many folks doing the same - zero lift lines and lots of soft snow to turn on until closing time. New snow accumulated in the range of 3-4" and started out very dry as tiny flakes which got wetter and bigger as the evening progressed. The temp when we pulled into the lot just after sunset was a bone-chilling 23F, but upon leaving was up to 30F. Very light wind so nothing was loaded up with a truly slashable amount of fresh. Conditions on smooth surfaces were fun, less so on the "organically groomed" terrain.
Silver Fir could be fun in the morning - if they keep the dang cats away from it. I wouldn't hold my breath about Alpental.
