OW – Gotta say today was a pretty awesome big nasty day after having to “suffer” the last two week draught of warm sunny days – I do hate those types of days, NOT! But today for me was a very very low expectation kind of day, could have easily slept in, but it was a Wednesday so headed up to see what would happen. Looked kinda grim early, grey, windy, very light snowfall, no buckets on the Gondy, but also nobody showed up either. Arrived very late, jumped onto CHex very late, started skiing what I knew would still be doable. Snowing lightly early, but picked up and was snowing pretty good quality stuff to fill in the “coral heads” and make the smooth styro slopes very nice – the first time and then a little later the second time and then ouch even better the last time I did the runs I was skiing. Winds were howling at times blowing snow into areas that will be very nice tomorrow. It was very enjoyable getting to ski in a nasty storm day again with improving snow quality all day. I’d do it tomorrow if I hadn’t committed to be nice already – three months ago, dang. Looks like Friday will be big enough.
Other stuff – Soup was Clam Chow, we split a Rice bowl – very good and right sized for two, lots of new menu items will be on the boards in CB lodge starting Friday (apparently comments from the paying public sometimes work). Pay lot a usual was huge and also hugely empty, even so I don’t remember anybody parked outside of the A lot (other than employees).
