Jan 23 rd. Domaine de Balme

Up early again and got first tram at Grandes Montets and skied tracked out pow on the backside down to Refuge Lognan a really funky old place in front of the Argentiere glacier snout. Had coffee and berry cobbler while watching some ice climbers ascend a frozen icefall. Then down to the base and we decided to drive up the valley to the village of La Tour and ski the Domaine de Balme.

Very different topography, rolling treeless terrain. More of a local area and we were happy skiing wind packed pow and straguli while the locals kept mostly to the pistes.
I had chicken for lunch and antipasti again.
Weather changing and high clouds starting to roll in.
Tomorrow we are going touring.

I think I may have coffee poisoning.
