Pretty nice day all in all…blue skies, warm light winds, soft spring snow on the front side mid day, still perfect styro cold snow in PB and OuterFerks, fairly light crowd in the important places I was, and best of all – Chicken Noodle Soup (leftovers from Saturday), lots of noodles, lots of carrots and celery and chicken, my oh my oh so good and so worth the wasted time I spent sitting around slurping it down, allowed me to ski till after 3pm again today - ouch, snow stayed soft on the front side of REX till my last run. Views big, lots of fun. Ready for maybe a little more of these terrible nasty spring days in January. More rocks in places, but not really a problem if your paying attention. Saw friends, tried to be nice, saw old friends that I haven’t seen this season much and had fun skiing with them till the end today. Pretty much a perfect day.
Other info – parking lots pretty full (except for the Pay lot), B/C/D/E all pretty full. Some lift lines on FQex and heard maybe GV – but never went that way today. Great day, maybe one or two more and then a very nice wet pattern for the rest of the week.

Another repeat inversion day. I can't believe how well the north-facing aspects have resisted the heat. Sunny aspects softened earlier than previous days. Who cares how big the parking crowd was, the skiing crowd was minimal with the average line 1-2 minutes (other than a FQ sequencer mess when chairs slammed together at the base). Most of the people were sitting on the Campbell patio, or inside maybe, or standing at the top of the Gondy, leaving us the goods. The top of six is melted out and requires a few boot steps or careful picking. The first 2-4 turns on the wilder lines are very rocky, the calmer lines still in good shape. Looks like one more day of this weather, as ski patrol is expecting the freezing level to drop below the base on tuesday.
