Ski info - Very nice day, very cold, very blue skies, very light crowd, very nice groomers, very nice diamonds in the new snow from the very nice sun shine. Nice new snow 2” and more depending on the slope. Lots of deep left over pockets of pillow snow from the last few days, lots of untracked lines in the doors till late morning as I cut them up by myself. From the low Throne gate (King looked big and smooth) to Exterminator and even an unusual run by me out on EH (what?), great conditions everywhere….but it was cold (hope I’m not getting sick), tried to work hard to burn some energy and warm up. Was some thin clouds blowing through late when I quit kinda early today.

Other info - Two soups on the menu today, ABNS (autumn butter nut squash) and Chicken Gumbo – since I was running solo I had the time to waste having a bowl of CG with a side of rice (very good). Lots of A lot was reserved for the Friday kids buses (11 when I left), rest of the pay lot might have been ¾ full, C lot sort of half full, cars widely spaced in the B lot (might have been almost half full?). Great fun day….I bet even Eskinmo had fun today (with out being told he had fun) skiing with the Fireman somewhere way out south.

Yep nice day. I skied with my lovely wife all day and left my pack and skins at home for a change which was a struggle at times because the BC looks so inviting and the snow looks so blower.

However, today's spousal chaperoning will ensure that tomorrow I get free rein with the Powder Clown Posse.

We both had Udon Bowls for lunch and I slurped my noodles loudly as slurping is considered polite  when it comes to noodle eating.

I think tomorrow may be a BIG day.

Edit to add: saw a couple skinning up the main Rolling Knolls Piste again. It wasn't that busy but really????....you have to skin up the busiest intermediate run on the mountain full of young kids getting ski lessons and following their instructor conga line style.....shame on you, especially if you are TAYers.

Late post due to the fact that Comcast sucks, 2 hours of my life I won't get back.

We skied in between yesterday's runs and still found good deep snow. Not much left now, however. Shaded aspects still are holding a soft underlayment and are skiing great. The Frontside and sunny aspects started to thicken mid-day and are wearing down to some icy spots. It was very cold in the sun, but still some sun damage. It was freakin' cold in the shade keeping the shaded aspects in incredible shape. Powder Bowl and out North were the places to be. With tomorrow's ski school crowd and no snow in sight for a week, looks like the january drought is in full swing.

Coulda had soup, but had Niagara instead. Very tasty.
