Very nice day Mr Eskinmo! In case you didn’t notice. Where were you? Much fun today. Others will gush even more about how nice and unexpected today was.
Short ski report – some filtered sun early, not to really cold, fairly light early crowd (and all day actually, no lift lines), more new nice quality snow than advertised, what groomers I did were perfect corduroy, fast crowd cutting up the slopes but lots of nice deep pillows left over. Some crunch underneath in a few places, but most everywhere was nice and soft. PB/BP (Elbow!), Doors, anything on the Front side, Upper E to Lower Bull/Ferk, and yes EH (still slow coming out of I5 though wax better with the cold temps), The Big B! (Grubstake, worth a couple late runs), HC (sadly only one run skier right of the chair, but it was soft and fast)
Long report - fun, fun, fun, fast screamer, fun. Should not be much worse tomorrow. Snow quality with the temps is very un-northwest like.
Other unrelated ski info – Soup looked good: Pepper Jack Broccoli, if I’d known how much time I had I might have had a bowl. maybe tomorrow. Seem to remember seeing cars in the lots, but not really to many.

Everything ddk says and more. NW had lots of soft in the regular suspects. Extra points for Brand X and Teddy Bear. Last run of the day was the easiest Banana Chute entry I have ever seen. There was only one other recent track so lots of soft in the chute and untracked below; all with zero underneath crunch. Highly recommended for those lucky enough to be going Friday too. EH better on left than right. Lucky Trees nice too. Memorial had soft pockets late in the day. Bad runs; can’t think of any.
Thanks to all who stayed at work/school today. C lot maybe half full and B lot maybe one third. Teaser blue sky in the morning but then fogged up, mainly on the very top. We should have done PB when we first had the chance. Day 9 and still on my Lucky Shot/IceFerkBerg free diet.

Two things I didn't expect today – shin/knee deep powder and no crowd. We got our first tracks across the Frontside north to south and then Northway went green. Had to wait for Gate 7, 2 minutes, but were the first, and only 6 through. Employee Housing was pristine untracked. Run-of-the-day for most of us. I-5 was a little slow with the new snow, but all the whoop-de-doos are avoidable. Also awesome were Paradise Chutes, Pucker's, Brand X, and round 2 and 3 of E-H. The squirrels had their way with the Frontside, but by picking and choosing, we found good snow till day's end. Six fogged in just as we went up, but Upper K2 into Bear Pits was great. Will continue the evaluation tomorrow. Oh, not a groomer or soup bowl in sight.
TB, thanks for the Banana Chute report
