January 6, 2013 Summit Central was created by Zap
It was a fast and short day. The temperature was 30 degrees, and the lift lines were quiet for 90 minutes. The Silver Fir run was groomed from top to bottom under the lift. The sun was out for a short while, but it was flat light when we left at 10:30am. The Webb Ski School was in mass and the Snoqualmie instructors were bringing classes out on the slopes. It was fun to ride the lifts with 2” of new snow. It was day #10, and I’m ready to start touring later this week.

I have taken the liberty of pasting parts of your TR into a little haiku in your honor:
a fast and short day
fun to ride with 2 of new
start touring this week

What Zap said, plus we went a little farther east...(Great to read about the recovery going so well.)
#12 – 1/6/13 – Sunday at Silver Fir & Hyak. Both had very good groomers that were easy and excellent to turn on during the low turnout first thing in the morning. We loaded SF at 0840 and bopped the runs there for a bit, then over to Hyak where yesterday’s off-piste crust was still there but somehow felt “softer” as the snow underneath had settled a bit. A Rox run rewarded the work. Hyak chairs weren’t crowded at all, but the SF lift was looking pretty busy when we made the return trip at noon. TomK & Kerry, and Chad & Karrie.
