January 4, 2013, Stevens Pass

     Lisa and I were treated to 3-5" and even more of heavy fresh, almost no people, and seeing a passle of cousins and friends.  The light was really flat on open runs but very nice in Hogsback woods and stayed untracked off I-5 and Double D.  Back side gave up one good run in Orion trees. Then it got a bit mushy and even clumped up under my NTNs, which took a cleaning for the first time in a year  > .  Good leftovers on the front side all affternoon, stayed soft into late evening.  I think it got warm enough for some crusting off piste.
     Saturday was a surprise 3" more, but the resort was super-packed and we toured instead.
